Dallas based Omega Productions has been keeping busy this year with a variety of projects including the release of several high profile DVD concert videos. The company, which specializes in live concert DVD, behind the scenes video and live event management, recently announced the release of successful DVDs for Gospel artists the Mississippi Mass Choir, Lexi and Dottie Peoples. The DVDs, done earlier in Jackson, Mississippi, Detroit, Michigan and Memphis, Tennessee, were produced by Paul Christensen and his wife Donna Christensen and shot by Omega’s award winning team of shooters and engineers, including Director, Don Moore.
The Mississippi Mass Choir DVD, titled Not by Might nor Power, was produced for Malaco Records and is on track to be one of the label’s most successful projects to date. Lexi’s smash freshman debut for Holy Music, A Praise in the Valley, is turning heads and propelling the Detroit based singer to the forefront as one of the newest artists to be watched this year. Live in Memphis, He Said It, is the title of the Dottie Peoples concert recently shot at the historic New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. The recently released project has already received rave reviews from industry officials, prompting Atlanta based Air Gospel Records to prepare for a second release of the CD and DVD.
In addition to these projects, the company also worked on the most recent Lawrence Welk Special for PBS, a live concert DVD for Woodcrest Chapel in Columbia, Missouri, and the 77th running of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Awards for the Oklahoma Heritage Association.
