The nominations for the 24th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards were announced recently during a press conference at the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau. Two projects produced by Paul Christensen, Omega Productions, received a total of 12 nominations.
A project for Verity/Zomba Label Group artist Marvin Sapp received nine nominations. A project for Air Gospel (Malaco Music Group) artist Luther Barnes and the groups associated with the legendary Barnes Family, received three nominations. The music from both CDs became the soundtrack for the DVDs produced by Christensen.
This year’s event will be held at Nashville’s famed Grand Old Opry House on January 17th and will feature the best known and revered artists in Gospel Music. Co-hosts will include noted comedian Sinbad, plus other luminaries to be announced later.
