Marvin Sapp, Thirsty, enjoys phenomenal success…
A recent project worked on by Omega Productions, Marvin Sapp, Thirsty, Verity/Zomba Records, received a Grammy® Nomination in the “Best Traditional Gospel Album“ category. The nomination is the 21st Omega project nominated for the coveted award in the company’s 40 year history. Aaron Lindsey produced the live CD. The CD soundtrack was part of the live DVD Paul Christensen produced from the event later released by Verity/Zomba Records. The project also recently received a 2008 Stellar Award Nomination in the “Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year“ category, as well as a Dove Award Nomination in the “Male Vocalist of the Year” category. In July 2008, the project was also certified as Gold Record Status by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA®). In addition, a song from the soundtrack, “Never Would Have Made It,” made history as the longest running #1 radio single in the history of the Billboard BDS Chart. The song spent a total of 47 weeks in the #1 position.
